MoS2 - Molybdenum Disulfide

The molybdenum disulfide has a very low coefficient of friction and an excellent affinity with metals which adsorb it easily.
Its structure consists in layers of molybdenum atoms sandwiched between layers of sulfur atoms. Because of the weak interaction between these layers, they are capable of sliding the one on the other as would make one card game.
The molybdenum disulfide used in Xeon dispersions is manufactured according to an innovative technology.
It is of grey color.
